Transport is all about carrying people and goods from A to B. Safely, economically and reliably. Stability, weather resistance and weight - Aluminium has a specific gravity of only 1/3 of that of steel - are all important factors. No other material is both as strong, light in weight, safe, efficient and environmentally friendly as aluminium in most transport applications. For every 1 kg of aluminium that replaces steel then over the life time of the vehicle, a saving of 20 kg of CO₂ will be made.

Excellent pre-treatments and an optimum coating system are the basis for further processing geared to long lasting transport products. Because of these characteristics it can be used for different applications: caravans, buses, insulated and refrigerated vehicles, tank trucks, container constructions, passenger car accessories and truck bodies are all using Novelis prepainted aluminium.
