Front side: 2-coat polyester

The polyester lacquer system insists in two coats (primer and top coat) which is stove-enamelled by the coil coating process. Thickness of paint coating: approx. 20/21 µm. Metallic colours are coated with a base coat and a transparent layer.

Reverse side: protective lacquer

The transparent protective lacquer on the reverse side is suitable for adhesive bonding with most available glues and foams. Typical thickness of paint coating: approx. 3-4 µm.

Top coat on both sides is also standardised for substructure rails, lamp grids etc.

Gloss

The degrees of gloss are selected so that no distracting reflection occurs whilst showing the optical brilliance to its best advantage. Novelis is able to supply all the gloss range from low gloss (10-20 gloss) to full gloss (≥ 80 gloss).

Protective Film:

A protective film is available on request with self adhesive protective film which can be removed later.
