Novelis Prepainted Aluminium for Façade Applications:
Theory and practical experience - Novelis seminar for façade installers

Göttingen, 19/20, 26/27 January and 16/17 March 2006

During a 2-day seminar in January / March 2006, façade installers were informed in detail about the advantages of Novelis Prepainted Aluminium FF2® for ventilated cavity façades.

An attractive programme – both in terms of information and entertainment – enthused seminar participants in Göttingen, with a tour (done by Thomas Klepsch, Technical Customer Service) of the works and labs being the „high-light“.

Moreover, BWM Dübel + Montagetechnik GmbH (a producer of fastening devices) provided detailed information on questions about sub-structures. Margitta Russek and Wulf Binder from the Novelis Sales Team had news and constructive recommendations regarding aluminium façade products and quality and installation aspects.

Special attention was paid to the interesting architectural project „The Wave“, a modern building in the form of a wave in Almere, Holland. Novelis Pre-painted Aluminium FF2® was able to meet its ambitious design and technical requirements. Andreas Schmelzer, engineer, explained the technique used for this project. Also, the unique fire classification „A1“ granted for Novelis building products was a convincing aspect. A city tour of Göttingen with visits of its „nether regions“ topped off the event.

Participants from all over Germany were enthusiastic about the product quality of FF2®.

Also for ourselves these meetings are important as we are able to pick up impulses for a continuous development of our products.
