Aluminium is famous because of its environmental friendlyness. More than two thirds of primary aluminium is produced by hydroelectric power minimising emissions and natural resources use.

One of the inherent qualities of aluminium is the fact that this metal can be recycled after its use without any loss of quality.

The recycling process only requires 5% of the energy needed to produce primary aluminium. With developments in legislation and the increasing number of end-use markets (notably packaging, automotive and building products), recyclable aluminum continues to play an important and growing role in the industry and for our customers.

That are important reasons for us to use a high percentage of recycled aluminium in our production. Novelis owned recycling facilities to ensure that scrap metal and used aluminium is collected and brought back into the material cycle.

Recycled aluminium has the same characteristics and qualities like primary aluminium and can be re-used in all applications. And in practice? Recycling is a reality, saving natural resources and generating economic value.
