Located at the foothills of the Harz Mountains – about halfway between Quedlinburg and Aschersleben – Novelis Nachterstedt is, with more than 580 employees, one of the largest and most successful local employers. With its state-of-the-art production facilities, Novelis supplies customers of industrial, packaging, building and automotive applications worldwide.

The Nachterstedt site was founded in 1968 as part of the Mansfeld combine and taken over by Alcan in 1994. Since then it has been modernised and modified to meet the requirements of new markets, especially the automotive industry.
