A variety of paint systems are available for the large number of applications of painted aluminium. New coating systems are constantly under development in cooperation with and to the benefit of our customers.

Make use of our innovative products in coil-coating! During the last few years we have developed (mostly in close cooperation with our customers) ten new product families and seven new alloys. This includes more than 1,000 new or revised paint systems which, in intensive material and surface tests carried out in our perfectly equipped test labs, have proved their suitability for many different applications. Polyester paints

• Polyester primer and Polyester finishing coat
• Layering 8 - 40 µm (depending on colour and application)
• Excellent ductility
• Extensive colour range, high degree of gloss
• Limited durability regarding UV and weathering

Polyurethan paints

• Extreme form and temperature stability
• Weathering-resistant
• Non-flammable, non-toxic handling and processing
• Extremely chalk- and UV-resistant
• No embrittlement through light or atmospheric exposure
• Front face is twin coat enamelled (base and finishing coat are applied independently)

PVdF-paints

• Excellent weathering and UV properties
• Very good colour and gloss durability
• Very good corrosion and chemical resistance
• Very good ductility
• Twin coat system (uniform colours) consisting of primer and finishing layers. Layering thickness approx. 25 µm Degree of gloss (60° measuring angle): approx. 20 units (Gardner)
• Four coat system (metallic colours) consisting of 2 primers, base coat and transparent lacquer Layering thickness approx. 35 µm Degree of gloss (60°- measuring angle): approx. 30 - 40 units

SP80-Paints

• Versatile colour range
• High mechanical durability
• Proven in saltwater, industrial and sun intensive climates
• Especially for roller shutter slats and roller shutter boxes etc.

SP80-Transparent lacquer system

• Pigmented Polyester lacquer, coating thickness approx. 10 to 18 µm depending on colour
• SP80-Transparent lacquer (SP80-A combination of Polyurethane and Polyamide), coating thickness approx. 18 to 30 µm

SP80-Coloured finishing coat

• Polyester primer or polyurethan, coating thickness 3 to 5 µm
• SP80-Coloured finishing coat, coating thickness approx. 15 to 40 µm

The actual coating thickness varies with colours and the recommended application. For consistent damp conditions an epoxy primer can be used.
